Data Analysis & Research Environment (DARE)

Target User:

• Researchers seeking to conduct pre-research activities or research analysis using the healthcare data

Data Provision:

• The datasets comprise anonymized, structured healthcare data spanning more than 30 years, offering detailed longitudinal records of the patient journey
• Data is refreshed quarterly and reflects the most recent full quarter
• Please refer to Data Catalogue for details

Software:

• A self-service analytics tool for interactive data exploration and visualisation will be provided

Application:

• Applications are open to researchers from institutions with an established agreement on Data Collaboration Lab usage with EH Plus Digital
• Application, together with the duly-signed confidentiality undertaking, must be submitted through the EHPDCL Portal
• Incomplete application documents may delay the processing and affect the outcome of the application. Successful applicants will receive a confirmation email from EHPDCL Office regarding the access arrangement

Research Output:

• Researchers conducting research using DARE may apply for export of output such as aggregated result(s). Supporting document of ethics approval is required
• All output files are subject to review by EHPDCL Office for compliance with the requirements stipulated in the agreement and confidentiality undertaking

Charging:

• DARE is a fee-based data service, with access provided on a named-user licence basis
• A quotation will be issued upon review of the submitted applications, unless otherwise agreed with the respective institutions
