Researchers can leverage EXPERT’s secure and collaborative platform to access standardised data products or customised datasets for a wide range of research activities, including hypothesis testing, data analysis, model training and validation

Target Users:

  • Researchers seeking to conduct advanced in-depth research with specific data requirements for comprehensive analysis

Data Provision:

EXPERT-Standard

  • Offering data products, including selections from up to 14 chronic diseases and 11 cancer types

EXPERT-Custom

  • Offering datasets customised according to research requirements
  • Structured, textual and image data are available. Please refer to Data Catalogue for details

Hardware and Software:

  • Providing access to a range of hardware resources, commonly used freeware and open-source software tools
  • Please refer to Technical Platform for details

Application:

  • Applications are open to researchers from institutions with an established agreement on Data Collaboration Lab usage with EH Plus Digital
  • Application and supporting documents, including ethics approval, must be submitted through the EHPDCL Portal
  • Incomplete application documents may delay the processing and affect the outcome of the application. Successful applicants will receive a confirmation email from EHPDCL Office regarding the access details

Research Output:

  • Subject to the compliance with the requirements stipulated in the agreement and confidentiality undertaking, researchers may request for release of their research outcomes such as aggregated results, charts, source code, and AI models

Charging:

  • EXPERT is a fee-based data service. A quotation, tailored to the specific research requirements, will be issued upon review of the submitted application
